The flue gas desulfurization (FGD) belt is specially designed for horizontal vacuum belt filters, used to filter the gypsum produced in the wet desulfurization process of flue gas in coal-fired power plants. The vacuum filter belt made of PFM Screen polyester fiber is used in the horizontal vacuum belt filter to dehydrate the gypsum accumulated in the flue gas desulfurization process of coal-fired power plants.
The vacuum belt is woven with polyester monofilament on the diameter yarn and multifilament on the weft yarn, which not only ensures high filtration efficiency and good air permeability but also has strong mechanical strength. Robust PFM Screen filter mesh belts are deployed for the fast and efficient dewatering of FGD gypsum in vacuum belt filters.
Although there are many kinds of flue gas desulfurization processes, the wet lime slurry method is the most widely used method in flue gas desulfurization. It has the advantages of fast absorption, high absorption efficiency (more than 95% of SO2 can be removed), and excellent adaptability. It has been widely used in about 90% of coal-fired power plants in the world, especially for large-capacity units. The high-purity gypsum (purity above 90%) produced by the by-product can be recycled and reused as building materials.
